Ride Engine built this fullsuit for cold water, with a hooded design that covers your entire head. It keeps you warm and prevents the headaches that come from repeated falls and duck dives in icy water. DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The RE_X 5/4/3 in the Range
Ride Engine built this fullsuit for cold water, with a hooded design that covers your entire head. It keeps you warm and prevents the headaches that come from repeated falls and duck dives in icy water. Ride Engine recommends the RE_X 5/4/3 Hooded for water temperatures from 6 to 10 degrees Celsius and below. Whether you're into Kite, wing, foil, or Surf, this fullsuit is ready for all four. The women's series also includes the RE_X 3/2, RE_X 4/3, and RE_X 5/4/3. You can also find the same fullsuit in a men's version.
Neoprene and Linings
The RE_X features Japanese limestone and carbon black neoprene, chosen for its elasticity and insulation. It was also chosen for its memory. On the exterior, the Texture_X coating enhances elasticity. Inside, the linings are recycled, and Thermal Lock fleece is placed on the torso to keep your core warm. This design ensures your arms and legs maintain freedom of movement, and the fullsuit dries quickly.
Seams and Cut
All seams are glued and then blind-stitched, with tape fully covering them on the inside. The Body CAD cut was specifically designed for the female body. This provides a fitted cut that moves with your body. The integrated hood completes the package for winter sessions. At the ankles, drainage ports wick away trapped water from the lower legs. The 100% recycled and printed Eco Strong knee pads grip the board and reinforce an area that wears out quickly.

FAQ - RIDE ENGINE RE_X 5/4/3 HOODED CHEST ZIP WOMEN
Ride Engine recommends water temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees and below. You will still need gloves and boots; they are not included. For the entire RE_X series, the Ride Engine guide suggests: 3/2 for 14 to 18 degrees, 4/3 for 10 to 14, 5/4/3 for 6 to 10, and 5/4/3 Hooded for 6 to 10 degrees and below. These ranges are a guide. Wind, air temperature, session duration, and your sensitivity to cold also matter.
Start with your height and weight using the Ride Engine guide higher on this page. Then check your chest measurement. A wetsuit should fit snugly when dry; otherwise, it will let water in. Make sure there are no air pockets in your lower back, under your arms, or in the crotch. You should still be able to breathe deeply, raise your arms, and bend over. If you are between two sizes, call us.
Yes. Ride Engine classifies it for wingfoil, foil, Kite, and Surf. Its flexibility is as important on a surfboard as it is under a harness.
Rinse it with fresh water after each session, inside and out. Focus on the zip, wrists, and seams. A neoprene cleaner eliminates odors. Dry it in the shade, inside first, laid at the waist on a wide hanger. Never hang it by the neckline. No sun, no radiator, no hot water, no washing machine. Store it completely dry, without folding it tightly. Before closing the zip, rinse off any sand. Never force it if it catches.
