Sheet updated September 2026
O'Neill's Epic 2 mm DL Gloves are five-finger neoprene gloves designed to keep your hands warm without sacrificing your feel for the bar. They feature 2 mm double-lined (DL) neoprene, a FluidFlex exterior, a FluidFoam interior, an anatomical cut, and a Tack Grip palm. These gloves are ideal for mid-season and early winter sessions when the water is cool, but you still want that direct connection to your bar or handle. They come in black and are available in seven sizes, from 2XS to 2XL.
KEY INFORMATION
O'NEILL EPIC 2 MM DL GLOVE - Five-finger neoprene gloves
What we like
- The 2 mm thickness strikes the perfect balance: It's substantial enough to block wind and cold water, yet thin enough to maintain excellent feel on your kite bar or wing handle.
- The Tack Grip palm ensures a secure hold, so your bar won't slip, even when your glove is wet.
- An anatomical cut means the glove is pre-curved. Your hand can naturally close around the bar without fighting the neoprene.
- FluidFlex and FluidFoam are O'Neill's flexible exterior neoprene and interior foam, the same high-quality materials found in their Epic wetsuits.
- With seven sizes, from 2XS to 2XL, even riders with smaller hands can find a perfect fit, which is a rare find in neoprene gloves.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
For what conditions
A 2 mm glove is your go-to for mid-season and early winter on the Atlantic coast. When water temperatures dip below 14 degrees and the wind starts to bite, your hands are often the first to feel the cold. For deep winter, a 3 mm thickness or a mitten will offer more warmth, though you'll sacrifice some feel. Choose the 2 mm when you prioritize feeling the bar.
Construction
These gloves feature 2 mm double-lined neoprene, a FluidFlex exterior, a FluidFoam interior, a pre-curved anatomical cut, and a Tack Grip palm. Consult the O'Neill size guide higher on this page for hand length and circumference measurements. Always measure before ordering; an oversized glove will fill with water.

FAQ - O'NEILL EPIC 2 MM DL GLOVE
Measure your hand length from the base of your palm to the tip of your middle finger, and your hand's circumference around your knuckles. Then, refer to the O'Neill size guide located higher on this page. Neoprene gloves need to fit snugly; if they're too large, they'll let water in and twist on the bar.
Rinse them with fresh water after every session, turn them inside out, and let them air dry in the shade. Never dry them on a radiator.
