KEY INFORMATION
O'NEILL WETSUIT CLEANER 250 ML - Wetsuit Cleaner and Conditioner
What we like
- Formulated for neoprene: O'Neill sells this as both a cleaner and conditioner. It cleans thoroughly without drying out the neoprene or damaging the glues.
- Effective in cold water: There's no need for hot water, which is precisely what can damage your wetsuit.
- Non-toxic, biodegradable: These are two key features highlighted by the brand for a product you'll be emptying into a basin in your backyard.
- Fights odors: Rinsing with clear water isn't always enough. This product provides that extra cleaning power.
- 250 ml: This is enough for several washes. You don't need to wash a wetsuit after every session, only when it starts to smell or at the end of the season.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
When to use it
Rinsing with fresh water after each session is always the baseline. The O'Neill Wetsuit Cleaner is for those times when your wetsuit starts to smell, after a week of sessions without a proper rinse, or before storing it for the summer. It also works wonders on boots, gloves, and hoods, which often develop odors the fastest.
How to Use
Grab a basin or bathtub and fill it with cold water. Add a dose of the product, then turn your wetsuit inside out and let it soak. Agitate it by hand, then rinse with fresh water and dry it in the shade on a wide hanger. Never machine wash, tumble dry, or use a radiator.
What Not to Do
Avoid hot water, laundry detergent, or household soap. Never use a washing machine or tumble dryer. Neoprene is glued and laminated; heat and harsh detergents will attack the adhesives before they even begin to remove odors. The Wetsuit Cleaner replaces all these, used with cold water.
Boots, Gloves, and Hoods
These items tend to smell the fastest because they don't dry as well. You can treat them at the same time as your wetsuit using the same basin of cold water and product dose. If the neoprene is thin, don't turn them inside out; simply soak them, then dry them open.
