A leaking valve, a punctured bladder, or a seized screw can ground a €1,500 kite over a €10 part. This section gathers the maintenance and repair parts we use ourselves in our workshop: valves and inflation adapters, leading edge bladders, patches, repair kits, lubricants, and protectors. valves and inflation adapters
Each brand has its own valve system: Air Port I and II for Duotone, a pin valve for Eleveight, and the Deflate Chip for Core. A hissing valve can be replaced in ten minutes with the genuine part. An adapter lets you inflate a kite from another brand with your pump. Check your kite's year before ordering; the valves have been updated on most product lines.
leading edge bladders
The bladder is the kite's inner tube. A hole can be repaired with a patch, but a bladder that has burst or has a torn-out valve must be replaced. We stock Duotone Evo and Evo SLS leading edge bladders by size and year. For other models, we order them from the manufacturer. To install a new one, you need to pull the old bladder out through the wingtip and feed the new one in without twisting it. Take your time, do it on a dry table, and make sure to keep the valve aligned with the opening in the kite.
patches, glues, and kits
A self-adhesive patch like the RSPRO Ding Patch is a great temporary fix for a canopy tear or a board ding until you can get a proper repair. The Duotone Multibox has everything you need for small on-the-spot repairs during your session. For your board, a SurfLounge nose protector helps prevent dings when you're loading it onto your car.
lubricants and anti-corrosion
Apply Tef-Gel to the stainless steel hardware on your foil and straps. Without it, the aluminum and stainless steel will bond together from corrosion, causing screws to break on disassembly. WD-40 silicone lubricant is great for maintaining wetsuit zippers, control bar components, and valves without harming the neoprene. The Northcore Waxtrak cleans and reconditions your board's wax.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if the leak is from the valve or the bladder?
Inflate the kite and spray soapy water on the valve. If bubbles form, it's the valve. If not, take the bladder out, inflate it, and submerge it section by section in a tub of water.
Can I repair a bladder myself?
Yes, for a pinhole, using a proper patch works. For a larger tear or a ripped-out valve, replacing the bladder is safer and not much more expensive.
My pump doesn't fit my new kite. What should I do?
A valve adapter will solve the problem in most cases. Just let us know the brand and year of your kite and pump.
What is Tef-Gel used for?
It prevents corrosion between the stainless steel screws and the aluminum top plates of your foil and straps. A small dab during assembly will prevent seized screws at the end of the season.
