Downwind Front Wings: Early Take-off and Long Glides

In downwind, your front wing has to lift off at low speed for paddle, wing, or parawing starts, and then glide for a long time between bumps. This is why these wings have high aspect ratios and large wingspans. A larger front wing makes for an easier take-off; a thinner profile lets you glide farther once in flight. As of 5 October 2026, this section includes the Sabfoil Balz Pro, Leviathan, and Razor ranges in various sizes, Duotone Glide 2.0, Glide 3.0, and Hyperglide, F-One Eagle X and Momentum, Armstrong HA V2, Slingshot One-Lock Flow and HM, as well as a second-hand Sabfoil Onda 945 wing.
