KEY INFORMATION
RIDE ENGINE RE_X 4/3 CHEST ZIP MEN'S - 4/3 mm fullsuit
What we like
- Japanese limestone neoprene: This highly elastic, high-memory Japanese limestone and carbon black based neoprene ensures your fullsuit retains its precise fit session after session.
- The Texture_X outer coating was chosen by Ride Engine for its exceptional elasticity. This keeps the fullsuit flexible, whether your arms are extended on the bar or on the wing.
- Thermal Lock fleece lining: Strategically placed on the torso, where your body loses the most heat, this lining maintains flexibility in other areas and dries quickly between sessions.
- Glued, blind-stitched, and taped seams: The thread never penetrates the neoprene, and an internal tape covers all seams, completely sealing out water.
- Body CAD cut: The precise placement of panels and seams is calculated to allow unrestricted movement and maintain a perfect fit, season after season.
- Chest Zip: The entry point is through the chest, keeping the back panel seamless and flexible. This compact opening minimizes water entry during falls and duck dives, and you can check the closure at a glance.
- Recycled interior lining: The RE_X's interior linings are crafted from recycled material, delivering warmth without compromise.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The RE_X 4/3 in the range
Ride Engine presents this as the entry-level fullsuit in their range. It offers an excellent balance of warmth and flexibility across a wide temperature spectrum. Many travelers find it's the only fullsuit they need to extend their riding season. Ride Engine recommends the RE_X 4/3 for water temperatures between 10 and 14 degrees. Whether you're into Kite, wing, foil, or Surf, the brand states it's perfect for all four disciplines. Also available in the men's series are the RE_X 3/2, RE_X 5/4/3, and RE_X 5/4/3 Hooded. A women's version of this fullsuit is also available.
Neoprene and Linings
The RE_X features Japanese limestone and carbon black neoprene, chosen for its elasticity and insulation. It also has good memory. On the exterior, the Texture_X coating enhances elasticity. Inside, the linings are recycled, and Thermal Lock fleece is placed on the torso to keep your core warm. This design ensures your arms and legs maintain freedom of movement, and the fullsuit dries quickly.
Seams and Cut
All seams are first glued and then blind-stitched, with an internal tape covering them completely. The Body CAD cut precisely positions the panels and seams. This allows for unrestricted movement and a perfect fit. Drainage ports at the ankles quickly clear out any water trapped in the lower legs. The Eco Strong knee pads are 100% recycled and printed; they provide excellent grip on your board and reinforce a high-wear area.
Sizes
Available in six sizes: S, M, MT, L, LT, and XL. The MT and LT sizes are longer cuts of the M and L. They offer the same torso fit with added length. The Ride Engine guide higher on the page provides all measurements.

FAQ - RIDE ENGINE RE_X 4/3 CHEST ZIP MEN'S
Ride Engine recommends water temperatures between 10 and 14 degrees. If you're riding in colder water, below 10 degrees, check out the RE_X 5/4/3. The full Ride Engine guide for the RE_X series suggests the 3/2 for 14 to 18 degrees, the 4/3 for 10 to 14, the 5/4/3 for 6 to 10, and the 5/4/3 hooded for 6 to 10 degrees and below. Keep in mind that these ranges are just a guide: wind, air temperature, how long you're out on the water, and your personal sensitivity to cold all play a role in choosing the right wetsuit.
Start with your height and weight in the Ride Engine guide higher on the page. Then check your chest measurement. If you are tall for your weight, MT and LT cuts are for you. A wetsuit must be tight when dry. Otherwise, it will let water in. There should be no air pockets in the lower back, under the arms, or in the crotch. It should allow full breathing, raising arms, and bending. If you are between two sizes, call us.
Yes. Ride Engine classifies it for wingfoil, foil, Kite, and Surf. Its flexibility is as important on a surfboard as it is under a harness.
Rinse it with fresh water after each session, inside and out. Focus on the zip, wrists, and seams. A neoprene cleaner eliminates odors. Dry it in the shade, inside first, laid at the waist on a wide hanger. Never hang it by the neckline. No sun, no radiator, no hot water, no washing machine. Store it completely dry, without folding it tightly. Before closing the zip, rinse off any sand. Never force it if it catches.
We are a Kite, Wing, and Surf shop in Pornichet, on the Atlantic coast. We ride all year round. We wear the wetsuits before we sell them. If you have any doubt about the size or thickness, call us or visit the shop.
