KEY INFORMATION
CABRINHA AER 2026 - Ultralight wingfoil wing for light wind and waves
What we like
- Weight: Cabrinha states the 3 m² weighs 1.674 kg without the bag, and the 5 m² comes in at 2.392 kg. You'll immediately feel the difference in your hands compared to a boom wing.
- Early planing: The medium-full profile and optimized canopy tension deliver smooth power, getting you up on the foil fast.
- In waves: Cabrinha gives the Aer its highest rating for Surf. This light and stable wing drifts effortlessly when depowered, letting you focus entirely on riding the wave, as Cabrinha rider Theo explains.
- Soft handles: Forget the boom. Ultralight handles mean less weight and a wing that rolls up small for travel or downwind sessions.
- Dual Airlock: Two valves let you fine-tune the Leading Edge pressure relative to the strut, depending on the wing size.
- Teijin D2: The canopy is crafted from Japanese-made Teijin D2 double ripstop, featuring Teijin 75 Trailing Edge panels and a radial cut.
- TruView: The mesh panel keeps your downwind view clear without compromising the canopy profile.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
A featherlight wing
Cabrinha built the Aer with a clear vision: an ultralight and simple wing that is efficient for riders who prioritize balance and early power. The range starts at 3 m² because the gains in weight and stability are most significant in larger sizes. Cabrinha recommends it for beginner to advanced riders.
Profile and canopy
The compact, low-aspect-ratio design shrinks the wingspan and boosts the wing's balance. A medium-full profile delivers progressive and predictable power. The new radial cut aligns the fabric grain with in-flight loads. This creates a cleaner, stronger canopy. Plus, optimized canopy tension gets you planing early.
Aer, Vision, or Mantis?
In the Cabrinha lineup, the Vision is your go-to freestyle wing with a rigid boom. The Mantis is a versatile wing with a flatter canopy, which means more pumping in light wind. The Aer plays a different card: soft handles, reduced weight, and just three sizes. If you want a boom and freestyle performance, grab the Vision. But if you're chasing lightness for light wind and waves, the Aer is the more logical choice.
In waves
Cabrinha rates it highest here. It gets the maximum score for Surf. Cabrinha rider Theo has made it his preferred wing for waves and light wind. It's light and stable when you let it fly, following your movements and letting you focus on the wave. It also packs down incredibly small, a huge plus for travel.
Construction
The canopy is made from Japanese-made double Teijin D2 ripstop, which resists tears, UV, and abrasion. It also features Teijin 75 Trailing Edge panels. The hybrid Leading Edge stiffens the wing's center while keeping the overall weight down. The central section is doubled, and the convex strut reinforces the structure and supports the Trailing Edge.
Inflation and transport
The Airframe system inflates the wing at a single point, with a universally compatible nozzle. Two Dual Airlock valves let you adjust the Leading Edge pressure to match the strut, depending on the size. The soft handles lighten the wing and make folding easier, which is super handy for downwind runs where the wing travels on your back.

The size guide provides the wind range and weight for each size, based on Cabrinha's recommendations for a 75 kg rider. Keep in mind that your weight, skill level, and foil setup will influence your ideal choice.
The Cabrinha Aer 2026 offers an incredibly low weight, early power delivery, and exceptional stability when the wing is depowered in waves. Plus, it packs down super small when rolled up.
Always inflate your wing on a clean surface. After your session, dry it in the shade and never store it wet. Avoid leaving it flapping in the wind and sun on the beach.
