DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The Black Label Deck
The maple deck measures 32.5 inches long by 10 inches wide, featuring a pintail shape and a 17.75-inch wheelbase optimized for handling. It comes fitted with 69 mm Roundhouse wheels, with all components selected for durability and responsiveness. This deck is constructed from seven plies of maple on the HPR17 mold, boasting a contoured nose kick and an extended wheelbase that allows for wider foot placement. Carver describes it as a timeless mid-length, designed for smooth and powerful carving, complete with a wood panel graphic inspired by 60s longboards.
The C7 truck system in detail
The C7 is Carver's innovative dual-axis system. A swing arm and the kingpin work in harmony to create two dimensions of movement: lateral offset and tilt. This offers a significant upgrade from the single dimension of a classic truck. A spring, housed in the base, compresses during turns and is easily adjusted by a screw. This allows both axes to be independently fine-tuned. The turning arc is wider than the CX. This provides a more expansive ride feel. Carver likens it to a single-fin surfboard, where pumping comes naturally. This system is the top choice for longboard surfers and anyone prioritizing fluidity. While slightly heavier than the CX, it's paired with a Carver C2 rear truck.
Original setup
Your board arrives fully assembled and ready to roll. It comes straight from the factory with 69mm 78a Roundhouse Concave wheels, Carver ABEC 7 bearings integrated directly into the wheels, two 3/16-inch Carver risers (that’s 3/8-inch total), and 1.25-inch Carver countersunk mounting hardware. Roundhouse wheels are Carver’s in-house line, specifically designed for surfskate. Their unique profile and urethane prioritize grip when loaded and a smooth roll over pure speed. There’s nothing to add or reassemble; just unbox it and hit the pavement.
CX or C7: which to choose?
Carver's patented C7 system masterfully replicates surf movements on asphalt. It delivers unparalleled fluidity for tight turns. This is the ultimate system for a dynamic and fluid ride, bringing you as close as possible to the sensation of Surf. Carver themselves summarize the choice between their two systems: the CX for a livelier rail engagement, and the C7 for that softer, more stretched Surf feel. This model is available with both setups. If you're unsure which is right for you, give us a call: we'll guide you based on your program, usual terrain, and Surf practice.
