A lycra serves two main purposes. In summer, wear the O'Neill Basic Skins long sleeve on its own. It provides UPF 50+ UV protection, preventing sunburn on your shoulders, which are often the first to burn during a session. The rest of the year, wear it under a wetsuit or shorty. It reduces neoprene irritation on your neck and under your arms, and it makes donning your suit much easier.
Fabric and Fit
This lycra features 6 oz four-way stretch polyester and elastane. It has breathable flatlock seams and a close-fitting Performance Fit. O'Neill strategically places the seams where they won't chafe. It's available in six sizes, from S to 3XL, and ten colors.

The O'Neill men's size guide higher on the page provides height and weight measurements for each size. It also gives chest and waist measurements. The Performance Fit is snug by design. A loose lycra fills with water and rides up. If you are between two sizes for wearing under a wetsuit, choose the smaller size.
Rinse with fresh water after each session and dry in the shade. Salt and sun wear out a lycra fastest.
