The Cabrinha Moto Apex 2026 is Cabrinha's performance freeride kite, a fast and light 3-strut kite that transitions smoothly from freeride to big air, wave, and foil. Cabrinha rebuilt it from the ground up. With a high aspect ratio, narrower and swept-back wingtips, a reduced diameter HT140 Leading Edge, and Aluula outer struts, this is Cabrinha's lightest, fastest, and most reactive Moto yet. It comes in five sizes, from 7 to 12 m². It flies in High V on the Unify bar.

The Moto is Cabrinha's versatile kite. The 2026 Apex version has been completely rebuilt to push freeride further. It offers more efficiency, increased board speed, and longer hangtime. Cabrinha recommends it for riders from beginner to advanced, targeting those who want a single kite for freeride, big air, waves, and foil.
Wingtips and profile
The narrower, more swept wingtips reduce drag and concentrate power at the center of the canopy. This results in smoother acceleration and improved power delivery. The reduced diameter HT140 Leading Edge and overall weight reduction make the kite agile. It moves fast and responds instantly.
Aluula in the struts
Cabrinha integrated Aluula into the outer struts. They gain stiffness and lose weight. The kite maintains its outline in flight, with constant power, a wider wind range, and tighter turns.
Bridle and High V
The 7-point precision bridle delivers direct steering, tight pivot turns, and clear lift during loops. A unique sliding pulley softens the steering and reduces residual pull when you depower the bar. Cabrinha tuned the Moto Apex to fly on a 6m High V. It offers more support in strong wind and a tighter kiteloop.
Canopy and protections
The Teijin D2 Ripstop canopy is lightweight and resists bias deformation. According to Cabrinha, the Pure Form panels create the cleanest entry profiles in their range. TPU Bullet Proof bumpers protect the seam between the canopy and the Leading Edge when the kite rests on a hard surface, and Airframe inflation uses a single point.
